The Cuban Five Antonio Guerrero 15 watercolours 15 years imprisonment

The Cuban Five were imprisoned in the U.S in 1998 for gathering information on counter-revolutionary Cuban-American organisations. Their terms ranged from 15 years to life. The Cuban Five are Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez. Rene Gonzalez was released in 2013, and Fernando Gonzalez in early 2014.

 

Antonio Guerrero  learned to draw and paint in the U.S. penitentiary

in Florence, Colorado.

 

The works in this exhibition are prints of the originals.
