Liz Coats is a leading Australia-based abstractionist.
Born in New Zealand, she studied at the Elam School of Fine Arts and is currently living and working in Canberra.
Liz has exhibited widely in New Zealand, Australia, Europe and Asia and in 2014 completed a Ph.D on the works and theories of the Russian artist Mikhail Matyushin. Works by Liz Coats are held in major public collections in New Zealand and Australia, including the National Gallery of Victoria and Auckland Art Gallery.
Like much of the artist's work this exhibition references her deep involvement in the fields of both art and science.
