BEING THERE JANE ZUSTERS Prints | Photographs | Book Launch

This exhibition by major New Zealand artist Jane Zusters features

prints and photographs from the 1970s and from post - earthquake Christchurch.

 

Her new book Where Did You Go To My Lovelies? Jane Zusters

Revisits the 70s, was launched at the opening. With three

accompanying essays by Andrew Paul Wood, Zusters, Morrie Love, Allie Eagle, Dave Mitchell and Tiffany Thornley, it contains never before exhibited photographs of political demonstrations in Christchurch.

 

One exhibited photograph, The Black Bach, where  Keri Hulme began the Booker Prize-winning The Bone People, was accompanied by a 2015 text by the author on her memories

(hitherto unpublished) around the original concept for the book.

 

Where did You Go To My Lovelies? was launched by arts writer Cushla Parekowhai.
